Ultimate Disc Unleashed

How to play

New to Ultimate? Start the game and play the 90-second Tutorial: it shows every move, one at a time. This page is the short version.

The game in 5 steps

  1. Score in the end zoneCatch the disc in the end zone your team attacks. The arrow on the score bar shows which way you go. First to 3 wins a Quick Match.
  2. Do not run with the discWhen you hold the disc you can only pivot around one foot. Pass it to a teammate who is open.
  3. Throw before 10A defender within 3 m counts to 10 while you hold the disc. At 10 the other team gets it.
  4. A miss is a turnoverA dropped, blocked or intercepted pass, or a catch out of bounds, gives the disc to the other team where it lands.
  5. Play fairUltimate has no referees. A dive that hits the receiver before the disc is a foul, and it costs your team Spirit points.

Tips

Cut, then throw

Run one way, then turn hard. Your defender sees the cut late, so you get open for a moment. Pass at the top of the cut.

Watch the rings

The ring around each teammate fills as they get open. With Assist On, a green dashed ring marks the best one.

Break the mark

The marker blocks one side. Curve the throw around them, use a hammer over them, or fake first so they lean away.

Green means go

While the disc flies, your ring turns green when you can get there on your feet, and orange when only a dive gets there.

Mind the wind

The arrow at the top left shows the wind. Downwind, long throws carry. Upwind, short passes are safer.

Pick your help

Assist and Difficulty are in Settings. Start on Assist On and Beginner, then make it harder.
